Aston-by-Stone Railway Station

Usage: Passengers & Freight. Stafford to Colwich Line.

Remains: One disused station building. Now part of a level crossing near Little Stoke, Stone, Staffordshire.

Stafford Common Railway Station


Opened: 1874
Original Ownership: Stafford and Uttoxeter Railway
Usage: Passengers & Freight.
Platforms: Single
Remains: Single platform covered by vegetation. Railway track removed. Now a public footpath called The Isabel Trail, named after a small engine that once stood on a plinth outside of Stafford Station. Isabel is now a restored working engine at the nearby Amerton Railway, a 2ft narrow guage heritage line on the grounds of Amerton Farm.
